Santa Claus visited me yesterday.
Crazy, I know, but here me out. I was on the clock yesterday, at my work-from-home job. I tweeted about me having spent all my gems on Mighty Deadpools, and out of nowhere, Santa Claus appeared. Without me asking for anything at all. Near the end of a stressful and lonely work week, Santa Claus reminded me that there truly is still good left in this world. He just said 'here' and bounced. And let me tell you, I cried. Not just a little bit, either. I was shaking for the rest of my shift too.
He might think that what he did wasn't a big deal. Santa Claus gives things out all of the time. But it meant the world to me. I don't have anyone to give me gifts. I don't have any friends. No one to treat me to anything after a long work week, much less my upcoming birthday. No boyfriend, no girlfriend, not even a pet. And because of all those things, I'm constantly sad. So for him to do that meant more than Tweets will ever be able to convey. I will forever be grateful to the Santa Claus that paid me a visit yesterday, June 2 2022.
Then, not surprisingly, the Vevefam celebrated his kindness. They're still celebrating it. My Twitter inbox is blowing up with Likes and Retweets about his kindness. I could mute the notifications, because they're not directly talking to me, but I love seeing it. I love seeing the proof of how one person really can change the world. And I love seeing people celebrate so much kindness, when there's so much chaos ruining the world.
Just when I thought I wouldn't be getting anything for my birthday, I now feel as though I got an early birthday present. Not to mention something to get me through the rest of my shift. And that, Vevefam, is the power of the Veve community. Outside of those doing nothing but talking about Grails, and urging everyone to buy as many Todds/Partners Statues/UR Vaders/SRs as they possibly can, there truly are diamonds in the rough.
One visited me yesterday. And I'm eternally grateful. What he did will mean more than he'll ever know.
